Admission Process
  1. Complete the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater application for admission early in the senior year and submit to the Admissions Office
  2. Complete the Project ASSIST application at the same time and submit to Project ASSIST office.
  3. If ACCEPTED to UW-Whitewater, the student may contact the Project ASSIST office for an individual meeting regarding services. If DENIED admissions, the student may immediately contact Project ASSIST for possible special admission consideration.
Anyone requesting services from Project ASSIST must send the following information to the Project ASSIST office
  • High School and/or college transcripts
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • Documentation of a learning disability (guidelines found on application).
  • Two letters of recommendation from content area teachers, counselors, and/or LD teachers
  • Personal Statement
When ALL of this information is received, it will be reviewed by the director of Project ASSIST. An interview will be required for the special admission process. Recommendations will be made to the Admissions Office regarding special admission to the university.
