*I was so nervous about starting at UWW. There were so many questions I had about classes, meal plans,
and organizations. I always had someone walk me through everything in high school and now I would be
on my own. When my mom suggested the summer program through Project Assist, I hesitated at first but
then I gave it a shot. I was so happy that I decided to go through with it. The program gave me the
opportunity to get introduced to the campus, people, and start preparing me for college classes. I know
that I wouldn't be able to have pulled off a 4.0 without this program. It is a chance no one should
pass by. -Jamie G.
*I really enjoyed the summer program because it showed that with hard work, some supported help from
the staff; I could handle college course work. I really also enjoyed the staff they are so helpful
through all the highs and lows in are educational quest. -anonymous
*Going to the summer program helped me to learn about college. We had the chance to go to all the
different buildings, so we could find our way around campus. Everyone was so willing to help us
understand things better. I think the best thing about the program was that I had the chance to meet
all different people that were in Project ASSIST. I came out of the program knowing forty new people.
It helped when I started my first year, because I had already made so many new friends. -anonymous
*Project ASSIST has helped me through college. It has been the helping hand I have needed.
I am not afraid to ask questions, because I know that even if they don t know the answer the staff will
help me find it. I believe that Project ASSIST is one of the reasons I am still in college. All the
people here have helped me reach for what I have always wanted. -anonymous
*In the three years I have been here at UW-Whitewater, Project ASSIST has been a tremendous help to me.
I like the fact that their staff is really friendly and very helpfuly. They have all been a support
system for me. One of the main reasons why I chose to come to UW-Whitewater was the Project ASSIST
program. I think Project ASSIST is a terrific program for students who have a learning disability.
