What is a hold?
Holds can be placed on your account by various departments on campus and may impact your registration. A registration hold is any restriction that prevents registration.
All Academic Advising & Exploration Center advisees have holds placed on their records on the WINS system. Holds are released only after completing the advisement appointment. Failure to follow the advising process may result in the inability to register at the assigned time and date.
Review the "Holds" heading within the WINS system to make sure you are clear of any holds. If hold(s) exist, follow up with the stated department to begin the process of getting the hold removed.
- Log into the WINS System
- Click on Self Service
- Click on Student Center
- Within the "Holds" heading, click on the 'details' link to view a list of current Holds on your records
