Advising Process
A thirty minute ADVISE appointment is scheduled to discuss the registration process and course recommendations for the next semester along with degree requirements and University probation and progression standards.
We offer walk-in services to all students from 8am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday to answer any questions that may arise. Feel free to walk-in or request additional appointments if necessary.
Mission and Goals
The Academic Advising & Exploration Center (AAEC) provides intrusive and developmental academic advising to assist students with their transition to college and their development of an educational plan consistent with their personal values, interests and abilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Utilizing the resources provided by the AAEC can help you go a long way. You will learn about the general education requirements, how to use and read your Advising Report, learn how to use WINS, and more.
You can expect your advisor to understand and be able to help you learn about the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's policies and procedures, as well as listen to your concerns and respect your individual values and choices.

Meet Your Advisors

Advising is most effective when it is viewed as an ongoing process in which the students and the advisors work as partners. Students must continuously work with their advisors in order to develop comprehensive academic plans that lead to successful career planning.
