Face-to-Face Reviews of Faculty
A face-to-face meeting of faculty with "supervisors" will be held during the fall term of odd numbered years, to discuss goals for the next two-year merit cycle. A second face-to-face meeting will take place during the fall term of even numbered years as an "interim check." A final face-to-face meeting will take place during the fall term of the odd numbered year during which accomplishments during the two-year cycle are evaluated. A new two-year cycle of face-to-face meeting is begun at the same time as the last cycle is completed and as the new two year cycle begins.
(See Faculty Senate action, March, 1995)
Based on the above policy, face-to-face reviews are to be conducted during the fall of 2010. They should provide the opportunity to review the accomplishments of the previous year and to update goals for the next year.
Face-to-face meetings that are conducted in the fall of 2011 should provide the opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the previous two years and to set goals for the next two years.
For probationary faculty, the face-to-face review should be combined with the regular reappointment review, with goals addressed in Section A of the Annual List of Performance Data. For tenured faculty, the face-to-face review should use the Face-to-Face Review Form (Statement of Performance Objectives), at: http://www.uww.edu/acadaff/docs/personnel/FF_fac.doc.
