Faculty Promotion Information

Probationary faculty prepare and submit their Purple Book for consultations, reappointment reviews, tenure and promotion reviews and applications for promotion to Professor. Forms for the Purple Book and Purple Book FAQ's are available at the Purple Book Web site. The Purple Book Cover Sheet Routing Form should be completed and signed by the faculty member, department Chair and other administrators who review the contents of the Purple Book during the review or promotion process.

The information within each Tab (Year 1-Year 6), including the 1) The 2012 Routing Form; 2) The 2012 Cover Page for Probationary (Tenure-Track) Faculty, 3) 2012 Performance Evaluation Form, 4) 2012 Narrative, 5) course evaluation summaries, 6)peer reviews of teaching, 7)summary of consultation or record of decision [department], 8)Recommended Actions [Constituency Dean, Constituency Standards Committee, if applicable, and  Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs], and 8) any rebuttals or Reconsideration Reports, should remain in the Purple Book for review in subsequent consultations/performance reviews. Information in the Appendices should be removed every year and retained by the faculty member until the completion of the review process for tenure/promotion to Associate Professor
