· While UW-Whitewater's sixteen initiatives were not specifically tied to Goal #II, two of our initiatives are likely to impact on the achievement of the goal.

· Specifically, UW-Whitewater Continuing Activity #1, "Continue to provide a well-articulated, comprehensive array of services, beginning with pre-college programming and continuing on through support for graduate study," addresses the developmental of an educational pipeline. The specifics for this activity are found in Appendix C, pages 1 and 2.

· In addition, UW-Whitewater New Initiative and Expanded Activity #8, "Increase UW System institutions' partnerships with local communities of color, social service agencies, literacy centers, spiritual institutions, and other organizations," helps to reach both parents and children. See Appendix C, pages 5 and 6.
