Phil Johns seconded the motion, which also carried.

Terry Ostermeier moved approval of the change in APR Diversity Message to read as follows: "Select 1 course identified as Diversity in the Timetable. Most courses also count in General Education. (This requirement does not apply to students whose first term of enrollment at a UW System campus was prior to Fall 1989)". Phil Johns seconded the motion which carried.

The committee then discussed the issues regarding potential conflicts between internships and final exams. It was decided that no formal action was to take place, and that Dick Telfer would respond directly to the initiator of the query.

It was also decided that a university-wide major, which has no procedure referenced in the UCC Handbook, should be sent to the College Curriculum Committees before they are acted upon at the University Curriculum Committee. It will be addressed in the next issuance of the UCC Handbook.

The meeting adjourned at 2:53 p.m.
