Minutes of the October 9, 1998 Meeting

 

PRESENT:  Scott Bradley, Tom Colwin, George Ferencz, Joseph Greene, Mary Margaret Hosler, Philip Johns, Michael Longrie, Terry Ostermeier, David Remmele, Anthony Hart (for David Rossbach), Larry Schuetz, Mark Skidmore, Richard Telfer, Meg Waraczynski (for Lance Urven), and Michelle Weis

ABSENT:    Larry Kenney, Jim Stewart, and Ed Zakrzewski

GUEST:      None

Dick Telfer called the meeting to order at 2:17 p.m.

George Ferencz moved to approve the agenda. Mike Longrie seconded the motion and the motion carried.

The September 25, 1998 minutes were approved with a correction (Janet Thatcher, rather than Stuart Glosser, had moved to recieve and record the special courses) on a Phil Johns/Scott Bradley motion.

Dick Telfer announced that there had been a discussion with John Kozlowicz regarding the new Paralegal Certificate. For now, the Political Science department has agreed to print the certificates. After some discussion regarding the recording of the certificate information, it was agreed that Larry Schuetz and Dick Telfer would draft a proposal for a future meeting that clarifies how and where certificate information will be recorded.

Phil Johns moved to receive and record the special courses that had been approved between September 19, 1998 and October 1, 1998 as listed below:

George Ferencz seconded the motion, which carried.

Mike Longrie moved to receive and record the Audit and Review Reports for programs reviewed during 1997-98. Mary Margaret Hosler seconded the motion, and the motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 2:33 p.m. on a Mark Skidmore/George Ferencz motion.
