Barb Monfils called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.

Tom Colwin moved, and Alvaro Taveira seconded, approval of the January 24, 2003 agenda.  The motion carried.

The December 6, 2002 minutes, with an amendment to add Phil Johns as present, were approved on a Tony Gulig/Larry Kenney motion.

Alvaro Taveira moved, and Phil Johns seconded, approval to add an Exit Survey for All Majors.  Dan Edlebeck suggested that the survey be added as a requirement versus a milestone.  The committee had no objections.  It will be worked out how and by whom, the students will be notified when the survey is not completed.  The motion to approve carried.

Mary Margaret Hosler  moved to receive and record the proposal from the Business Education/Computer Network Administration and the Curriculum and Instruction Departments for changes in title and description for SECNDED 442 Methods of Teaching Keyboarding/Document Processing to SECNDED 442 Methods of Teaching Computer Applications.  Wilfred Tremblay seconded the motion, and the motion carried.

The proposal from the Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Coaching Department for a change in the Physical Education K-12 (BSE)  was approved on a Larry Kenney/Tom Colwin motion.

Anne Hamilton moved, and Phil Johns seconded, approval of the Religious Studies Department's proposal for a new prefix, Liberal Studies Prefix-LIBST.  The motion carried.

Phil Johns  moved to receive and record the proposals from the Sociology Department for a change in catalog for Sociology BA/BS and a change in requisite for SOCIOLGY 290 Sociology of Pacific Asia.  Tony Gulig seconded the motion, and the motion carried.

Mary Margaret Hosler moved to receive and record the special courses approved between November 28, 2002 and December 15, 2002 as follows:
 

Wilfred Tremblay seconded the motion, and the motion carried.

Wilfred Tremblay moved, and Mary Margaret Hosler seconded the approval of the revised Audit & Review Self-Studies Form.  It was suggested that a table of contents and page numbers also be required.  The motion carried
