The September 20, 2002 minutes were approved on a Tom Colwin/Phil Johns motion.

Barbara Monfils welcomed and introduced our newest UCC member, Tanyi Fuoching, the student representative from the College of Business.

Larry Kenney moved, and Tony Gulig seconded, approval of the proposal for the change in DPI licensure requirement,  PI-34 (was PI-4).  Ann Ruff distributed a revised version of the proposal which included a change to item A.5 in the proposal to read "required of all who anticipate completing licensure through August, 2004" (originally stated "required through August, 2004").  After some discussion, George Ferencz moved to amend the statement by removing the words "who anticipate".  Wilfred Tremblay seconded the motion, and the motion to amend carried.  After more discussion, it was decided that the word "may" in item A should be changed to "must".  This was accepted as a friendly amendment.  The motion carried as amended.
