Minutes of the September 3, 2004 meeting
 


PRESENT:  Scott Bradley, James Bronson, David Cartwright, Simone DeVore, Dan Edlebeck, George Ferencz, Stuart Glosser, Anne Hamilton, Chris Henige, Phil Johns, Larry Kenney, Lawrence Schuetz, Wilfred Tremblay, Dave Wilder, and Sam Zhao
 

ABSENT:  Barbara Monfils and Ann Ruff
 

GUESTS:  Bruce Bukowski and Dick Haven
 

Larry Schuetz, presiding as chair in Barbara Monfils- absence, called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.
 

The September 3, 2004 agenda was approved on an Anne Hamilton/David Cartwright motion.
 

George Ferencz moved and Stuart Glosser seconded the approval of the May 7, 2004 minutes.  Motion carried.
 

Larry Schuetz had the members introduce themselves since there are a few new members on the committee.
 

Stuart Glosser moved with a second by James Bronson to approve the change in major - Accounting (BBA).  Motion carried.
 

The proposal from the College of Arts and Communication for a change in major for Multimedia Digital Arts was approved on a Wilfred Tremblay/Scott Bradley motion.
 

Larry Kenney moved to approve the proposal from the Special Education Department -change in submajor - Special Education Minor; and to receive and record the following proposals - Requisite changes for SPECED 361/561 Inclusive Methods of Instruction, SPECED 486/686 Academic Interventions I, SPECFLD 489A Directed Teaching Special Education - Cognitive Disability, SPECFLD 489B Directed Teaching Special Education - Learning Disability, SPECFLD 489C Directed Teaching Special Education - Emotional Behavior Disorders, SPECFLD 489D Directed Teaching Special Education - Cross Categorical.  The motion was seconded by Scott Bradley.  The motion carried.
 

The special courses approved between 5/6/04 through 8/25/04 were received and recorded on a Stuart Glosser/George Ferencz motion.

Dan Edlebeck indicated Winterim begins December 29, 2004, not January 3, 2005 as was posted on the UCC Curricular Schedule for 2004-2005.  He also indicated that all major and minor programs are now on the Registrar-s web page to be used for program changes.
 
The meeting was adjourned at 2:40 p.m. on a Wilfred Tremblay/Stuart Glosser motion.
