Minutes of the November 16, 2007 meeting
PRESENT: Jeff Barnett representing Simone DeVore, Scott Bradley, Tom Colwin representing Ray Baus, Rita Czaja, Ellen Davis, Dan Edlebeck, Carol Elsen, Jolly Emrey, Stuart Glosser, Liz Hachten, Stephanie Miller, Jim Molloy, Barbara Monfils, and Jeff Zimmerman

Barbara Monfils called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.
The November 16, 2007 agenda was approved on a Rita Czaja/Stuart Glosser motion.
Jolly Emrey moved and Jim Molloy seconded the approval of the November 2, 2007 minutes. Motion carried.
For the curriculum proposals from the
For the curriculum proposals from the Communication Department, Rita Czaja moved to receive and record the requisite change for SPEECH 203 Public Relations Tactics I and to approve the change in major – Public Relations (BA/BS) and change in minor – Public Relations (BA/BS). Jim Molloy seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The curriculum proposals from the Music Department for a course revision, description change, contact hour and/or credit change for MUSC 275 Diction for Singers I, the new course, MUSC195 Music as a World Phenomenon, and change in major – BM Music History – Theory Emphasis and BA Music were approved on a Tom Colwin/Rita Czaja motion.
The special courses approved between 10/25/07 through 11/9/07 were received and recorded on a Stuart Glosser/Jolly Emrey motion.

There was a brief discussion on simplifying the process of deleting a course
that is a part of another program(s) to eliminate submitting a number of
proposals for this curricular change .
The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 p.m. on Scott Bradley/Rita Czaja motion.
