About the Programs
The leadership, military science and aerospace studies program prepares students for success in any competitive environment. Students will learn firsthand the skills to lead others, motivate groups and conduct missions as an officer in the Army.
Students in the UW-Whitewater program undergo training in the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corp (ROTC). Full-tuition scholarships are available and are based on a student's merit.
Upon graduation from the Army ROTC program, students will earn the gold bar of a second lieutenant. Once officer branch training and a first assignment have been completed, students can pursue additional specialized training and post-graduate education opportunities. Advanced leadership positions and staff positions in upper management may be made available to students.
The Army ROTC faculty members bring more than 100 years of collective experience to UW-Whitewater's program. The faculty members offer students the benefit of practical experience in both the officer and non-commissioned officer roles, and will serve as mentors to future Army leaders.
Career opportunities for graduates are available in air defense artillery, field artillery, aviation, engineering, infantry special forces, military intelligence, military police or medical service corps.
