Phyllis Batra received her B.S. in Education from Olivet Nazarene University,(Kankakee, IL) in 1961 and her M.S. in 1971 from the University of Illinois (Urbana, IL0.  She has taught in the Illinois public schools as well as the DOD schools overseas for the US government.  She is currently the Director of Developmental Education and Coordinator of the Learning/Tutorial Center at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
