Dr. Allen Einerson holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Before coming to Whitewater in 1985, he taught at the Writing Center on the Madison campus.  While at Whitewater, he has developed curricula for developmental courses in basic writing and academic survival skills and has instituted and supervises the Supplemental Instruction Program, which provides structured study groups for high-risk courses.  He also directs other campus tutorial programs such as the Writing Center, the Math Center, and the Tutorial Center.  During the summer, he works with Project ASSIST in an intensive transition program for beginning college students.
