GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- Students establish a mentoring relationship with one or more
UW-Whitewater faculty member(s).
- Students attend each of the eight academic year seminars
addressing graduate school preparation, expectations
and opportunities.
- Graduates enroll in graduate schools with full financial
support within two year of graduation.
- Students complete a Master's Degree within five years of
completion of undergraduate study. Students that receive
a Master's Degree complete a Doctoral Degree within seven years
of completion of Master's study.
- Students complete their undergraduate programs with a GPA
of 3.25 or better or show a GPA increase of .20 or better each
year.
- Students will demonstrate their familiarity with research
in their disciplines by completing their independent guided research
project and two or more of the following :
- research techniques courses
- statistics course
- computer skills course
- Students present their research at a regional or national
conference.
- Students complete the general and/or advanced subject matter
portion of the GRE, GMAT or an equivalent examination.
- Students will finish undergraduate study with minimum or
no loan burden.
- Students participate in the six week summer research experience
as juniors and a six week summer research internship at a research
center as seniors.
