The Office of Pre-College Programs administers the Upward Bound Program,
the Educational Talent Search Program, Pre-College Academic Camps, Saturday
College Program and the Beloit Tutorial Program.
The Upward Bound Program
Serves college-bound students in grades 9-12 at targeted schools in
Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Palmyra/Eagle. Support is provided through
academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, and a six week summer academic
enrichment experience. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Educational Talent Search Program
Serves students from grades 6-12 in targeted schools in Beloit and Milwaukee.
Provides students with: college and career orientation activities; college
visitation; summer enrichment experiences. Funded by the U.S. Department
of Education.
The Pre-College Academic Summer Camps
Includes five-weeks of academic, career, cultural and recreational activities.
The camps are: Latino Institute; Native American Institute; Southeast
Asian Institute; Math & Science Institute; GEAR UP; ACT Preparation
Camp; Business & Commerce Camp; Science & Technology Camp; Arts
& Humanities Camp. The camps are funded by Department of Public
Instruction, State of Wisconsin.
The Beloit Tutorial Program
Provides tutorial support and cultural activities for pre-college students
grade levels 2-5. Students participate in a three week summer enrichment
experience. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
