Lawton Undergraduate Multicultural Retention Grant is a program of financial assistance for statutorily designated multicultural students to improve their retention and graduation and lessen the burden of student debt. Eligible students include African American, Latino, Native American, and Southeast Asian undergraduates who have completed a minimum of 24 credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 for a "need" student and at least a 2.4 for a non need-based student.

Advanced Opportunity Program Grants (AOP) are for African American, Latino, Native American, designated Southeast Asian, and disadvantaged students. Wisconsin residents and nonresidents are eligible. Preference is given to Wisconsin residents. Full-time and part-time graduate students are eligible.
Graduate Scholarship to Study Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
The Department of Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (UWM) is soliciting applications for a special scholarship, the Chancellor's Graduate Award targeted to attract graduate students to our Master of Urban Planning program who will bring experiences with diversity or a background that is often underrepresented among our students, including women, racial and ethnic minorities, and other characteristics of diversity. This special award is an $8000 cash award plus a full tuition remission for one year, renewable for a second year.
In addition to the Master of Urban Planning, we offer coordinated masters degrees in:
- Architecture and Urban Planning (M.Arch/MUP)
- Civil Engineering and Urban Planning in transportation (MS/MUP)
- Public Administration and Urban Planning (MPA/MUP)
