I am currently a sophomore here at UW-Whitewater, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. I am from Milwaukee, WI, where I also work at McDonalds. In my free time I enjoy reading, watching Netflix, and hanging out with my friends. I plan on entering the legal field when I am done with school. MICHAEL MARCHESCHI - WRITING My name is Michael Marcheschi, I am a Senior and I'm majoring in History and minoring in Sociology and Philosophy. I am from Wheaton, Illinois which is a suburb of Chicago. I hope to work as an education policymaker in the urban framework after I finish my schooling, and ultimately retire as a Principal. Outside of school I enjoy going to concerts and music festivals across the country and I also work as a landscaper when I return home for the summer. I am also an avid poet, and I am currently working on publishing my first book. I am looking forward to helping students in any shape or form while I am a tutor. I have worked three years as a youth mentor at the YMCA in my hometown, and it was through this experience that I found my passion for educating individuals. My roles as a mentor were to not only lead the children in a positive direction but also to help them read and write. My fondest moment at the YMCA has to be the summer when I taught a group of five year olds how to read. I started the summer by reading to the campers but by the end of the summer my campers we're reading to me. This is my first time in a tutoring position, but I believe my prior experiences working with children and instructing them will allow me to have a positive impact on the students I tutor.
