`Public Relations/Main Office

The Public Relations/Main Office for the Academic Support Center is located in the lowest level of McCutchan Hall in Room 7. The duties of the staff are twofold. As managers, they provide managerial oversight of the operations and are responsible for the accuracy of our record keeping for both the clients who utilize our services and the learning assistants who work here. However, as public relations staff, they perform a wide range of tasks, including communicating with clients and faculty, hosting the tours, speaking at events, fielding questions, creating and distributing the flyers, and updating our webpage, to name a few.

Jami Puth, Graduate Assistant

My name is Jami Puth, and I am a graduate student studying Mass Communication. I graduated from UW-Whitewater in May of 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in Print Journalism and a minor in Media Arts and Game Design. Over the past two years I have written for the Royal Purple, starting as a staff writer and working my way up to managing editor. I have always enjoyed writing and hope to work at a newspaper or magazine in the future.

Alexis Hinkle, Public Relations

My name is Alexis Hinkle. I am a continuing education student/non-traditional student. I am a senior working towards a major in Pre Biomedical Profession with an emphasis in cellular and physiological biology. I currently have a BA in Fine Arts/Communication and a MBA in Business Administration. I am from Beloit, WI and am looking forward to applying to PA school this spring. I am a member of Tri Beta, the Biological Honors Society, and also of PHAT. I work as an intern at the health center here on campus and volunteer for public health. I spend my summers as a nanny for a family in NYC. I enjoy watching movies, shopping, knitting, dancing, video games, playing the guitar, and my dogs.

Alyssa Pals, Public Relations

My name is Alyssa Pals. I graduated from Waterford Union High School in 2011. I am a sophomore here on campus. I am majoring in Advertising and minoring in Performing Arts Management. I am also a part of the UW-Whitewater Dance Team. Once I graduate I plan on moving to a big city! I would like to work at an advertising agency, but my ultimate goal is to one day own a talent agency.

Brooke Flesher, Public Relations

Hello! My name is Brooke Flesher, and I am from St. Charles, Illinois. I am currently a sophomore at UW-Whitewater and a Communicative Disorders major and Psychology minor. In the future I hope to become a speech pathologist. I am also on the swim team here at UW-Whitewater and spend most of my free time in the pool! When not swimming, I love spending time with my family and my friends.

Brynn Long, Public Relations

I graduated from Boylan Catholic High School in 2009. I transferred to UW-Whitewater this year and I am currently a junior. My major is Sociology with a minor in Human Resources. I plan on working in a field that focuses on employee relations. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

Elizabeth Stempel, Public Relations

I graduated from Pewaukee High School in 2011. I am double majoring in Communicative Sciences & Disorders and Spanish. After finishing my undergrad degree I plan to go onto graduate school to receive my Masters here at UW-Whitewater. I love to workout, spend time with friends and family, and cook!

Jade Muller, Public Relations

I graduated from Rice Lake High School, in 2009. I am a second year student here at UW-Whitewater. My major is Biology with an emphasis in cell biology. After school, I plan to attend UW-Madison in hopes of obtaining my Cytotechnologist certificate. I love hanging out with my friends and sorority sisters. Whoever said "diamonds are a girl's best friend" is mistaken, because I am obsessed with bacon double cheese burgers from Culvers!

Jasmine Adams, Public Relations

Hi! My name is Jasmine Adams. I am from Milwaukee, WI and currently in my second year here at UWW. I am an International Studies major and Spanish minor. After graduation I plan to work and eventually travel around the world. I enjoy going out with friends, watching movies, and learning new things. I have a very big family and spending time with them is always a good time. I’m new at the tutorial center so I’m looking forward to helping out in any way I can.

Joanne Jablonski, Public Relations

My name is Joanne Jablonski, and I am a junior undergraduate student from Palatine, IL. I am planning to graduate from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor and licensure in Spanish Education. I enjoy working with students of all ages and hope to one day have a classroom of my own. I am also a member of the UW-Whitewater softball team and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. In my spare time I like to spend time with friends, relax outside, and attend events on campus.

Kaelyn Terry, Public Relations

I graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School in 2011. I am from Crystal Lake, IL, and this is my second year at UW-Whitewater. I am double majoring in Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management with a minor in Spanish. I plan to work with employee relations in my future and possibly opening a restaurant in the long run! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends!

Leah Suchomel, Public Relations

My name is Leah Suchomel. I graduated from Deforest High School in 2011. I am currently a junior majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. I absolutely love spending time with children and helping them learn. I hope to become a great teacher some day! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. This is my second year in the office at the tutorial center, and I am always happy to help!

Margaret Davison, Public Relations

Hello! My name is Maggie Davison. I am from Sun Prairie, WI; I graduated in 2011 from Sun Prairie High School. I am an instrumental music education major and play the French Horn. In my free time I enjoy: playing and listening to music, watching movies, shopping, helping others, learning new things, and smiling. I love smiling! Smiling’s my favorite! I look forward to meeting you, helping you with anything you need or to just be someone to talk to.

Margaret Gomberg, Public Relations

Hi! My name is Margaret Gomberg, and I am an Elementary Education and Spanish major! I am a junior here at UW-Whitewater and am a member of the Swim and Dive team. I am from Illinois and am a major fan of the Chicago Cubs! In my free time I like to ride my horse, hangout with my friends, and go out to eat! I am looking forward to meeting all of you and assisting you in any way I can!

Melissa Hilgendorf, Public Relations

I graduated from Cedarburg High School in 2009. I am currently a junior working on my Advertising major and Spanish minor. After I graduate, I want to attend graduate school for Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin. Once I am done with my education, I hope to work as an account manager for an advertising agency either in Chicago or in Texas. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, working out, watching movies, or reading.

Hi, my name is Nicole Kohnke and I am from Milwaukee Wisconsin. I am a social work major and I love working with people. I am on the UW-Whitewater Swim and Dive team and I am a junior. I love shopping in my free time when I am not swimming. I plan on going to Grad school when I graduate.
