Step #3: Type in the last name of the person you want to meet with.

Step #4: Once the name appears below, double click the attendee's name.

Step #5: After double clicking, that person's calendar will appear.  Use this screen to locate a time slot that the meeting attendee has availability shown.  Use the drop down box to select different dates if needed.

After locating a time and a date on this screen, click the OK button in the lower right hand corner.  Please note, you will only locate the time and date on this screen.  You will select the time and date as shown in Step #8 of Diagram #4 below.

Step #6 – Enter your name and student ID number in the Subject line.

Step #7 – Enter your cell phone number in the location field.  This number is used to call you the day before to remind you of your meeting.  Only the advisor will be able to view your cell phone number.  Other students will not have this ability.

Step #8 – Enter the Start Time and End Time.  Enter the time and date as determined during Step #5.  (If you are scheduling a Pre-Advise meeting, it needs to be 15 minutes long.)

Step #9 – Leave this checked if you would like a reminder to pop-up some time before the appointment. You can select how much time in advance you want your reminder to pop-up, such as 15 minutes or 24-hours prior to.  Keep in mind that Outlook must be running for the reminder to open.

Step #10 - This is optional.  However, you can enter a message here if there are particular topics you’d like to discuss.

Step #11 - Once all is complete, press the Send button in the upper left hand.  The meeting request will be reviewed and you will receive a message either accepting or declining the proposed meeting.

Note: Plan ahead to schedule any academic advising appointments. Advising appointments can usually be obtained soon after the request is made; however, during peak times, appointments may take longer to schedule.
