UW-Whitewater Foundation receives real estate gift for university housing
A recent gift of real estate valued at $1 million will be used to help provide local housing for UW-Whitewater faculty and staff members. Whitewater businessman and First Citizens State Bank president Jim Caldwell and his wife, Julie, donated 23 parcels of land to the UW-Whitewater Foundation. The lots are located in a new housing development on the City of Whitewater's northwest side near West Bloomingfield Drive.

UW-Whitewater Forensic Scientist Peter Killoran

New video series features work of UW-Whitewater forensic scientist
What was assumed to be a vacant field in Frankfort, Ky., has become an area of fascination for Kentucky residents and UW-Whitewater Forensic Scientist Peter Killoran. Before construction of a new office complex began eight years ago, a cemetery predating the Civil War was discovered. Killoran's work is part of a video series produced by the Kentucky Heritage Council that is currently airing on public television stations across Kentucky.

Milwaukee Wave

UW-Whitewater Day at the Milwaukee Wave
Approximately 80 UW-Whitewater students, faculty and staff members, alumni and friends cheered on the Milwaukee Wave indoor soccer team to a 5-4 victory over the Rockford Rampage Feb. 13 in Milwaukee. Team owner Jim Lindenberg í81 and Head Coach Keith Tozer welcomed the Warhawks at a reception before the game. During halftime, members of the UW-Whitewater football team were recognized for winning the 2009 NCAA Division III national championship.

Curtain rises on Milwaukee play crafted by UW-Whitewater theater alumni
A play produced almost entirely by UW-Whitewater theater graduates opens in Milwaukee Friday, Feb. 26. "Stuck," a comedy written by UW-Whitewater alumnus Neil Haven '05 will make its professional debut at In Tandemís Tenth Street Theatre in Milwaukee. The play is a modern-day comedy that finds Ella, an agoraphobic hotel elevator operator, entangled in the lives of some hotel guests as a wife tries to catch her traveling husband cheating.
