Chemistry student wins prestigious Goldwater Scholarship
For the first time in history, a UW-Whitewater student has been awarded a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship. Marie Nider, a chemistry major from Monroe, was one of 282 students chosen from a nationwide pool of 1,100 to receive a Goldwater Scholarship for the 2012-13 year.

Starting this fall, a new international business major will combine worldwide business knowledge, travel experience and language skills to prepare graduates for jobs in today's global economy.

Summeround Theatre productions important learning opportunity for students
Both charming and witty shows, "Almost, Maine" and "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" will take audiences on a whimsical journey through the uncertainty and spontaneity of love as the subjects of dating, mating and marriage are explored.
