Do you know an alum of UW-Whitewater who is a story of success in their career, profession, community or daily life? Do you believe that that person should receive notice for their accomplishments and feats?
We are calling on all alumni and friends to help us identify those outstanding alumni who deserve recognition. The UW-W Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Distinguished Alumni and the UW-W Outstanding Recent Alumni Awards.
Distinguished Alumnus Award for Professional Achievement
Presented to a graduate of UW-Whitewater who has exhibited distinguished professional, personal and career achievement, and is recognized for accomplishments in their field.
Distinguished Alumnus Award for Community / Regional Service
Presented to a graduate of UW-Whitewater who has demonstrated outstanding and significant civic and service contributions for their community.
Distinguished Alumnus Award for Service to UW-Whitewater
Presented to a graduate of UW-Whitewater in recognition of outstanding support in the development of the university, its goals and mission, and university affairs.
Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award
Presented to a graduate of UW-Whitewater no more than 15 years after receipt of a degree from UW-Whitewater. Criteria may include, but are not limited to, demonstration of professional achievement, and volunteer/civic involvement.
Alumni Awards Timeline
- Nomination can be submitted until Nov. 30 of each year for the following April's Founder's Day award presentation
- Nominations will be reviewed between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31
- Selections will be made in early January
- Awards are presented on Founder's Day in April
