The Career & Leadership Development office, located in the University Center, Room 146, provides services and programs that you will want to use at one time or another while attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Our programs and services are designed to assist all students, from the time they begin their career decision-making process until they find that important job following graduation. Alumni can also take advantage of these services when they decide to change employers or careers.

The Center for Students with Disabilities provides academic accommodations and advocacy for students with disabilities. CSD also provides resources and support to the faculty, staff, and university community at large. Children's Center

The Children's Center offers year round, full and part day NAEYC accredited high quality early childhood program for children from the age of two through five during the academic year. The Children Center also has a summer swimming camp for children from the age of five through twelve. Undergraduate Student families taking 12 credits or more a semester and Graduate Student families taking 6 or more credits a semester qualify for discounted tuition and are given priority enrollment.

Financial Aid

The Financial Aid and Student Employment Office assists students whose personal and family resources are not adequate to cover the expenses involved in attending UW-Whitewater. Eligible students may be given financial aid consisting of grants, loans, and work-study assistance. Funds for these programs come from the federal government, the State of Wisconsin, and the university.

First Year Experience is here to help new students CONNECT, ACHIEVE and SUCCEED. We help new students CONNECT with other students, faculty, staff, and the Whitewater community through numerous orientation activities that our office coordinates. We help students ACHIEVE by providing assistance and direction when they encounter challenges and "stumbling blocks" along their journey as a Warhawk. We help students SUCCEED by offering programs and services that support students as they strive to achieve personal and academic success. Our goal is to help students reach their final destination -- graduation.

University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS)

Now that you are a UW-W student you have access to high quality, convenient, free or low cost health and counseling services right on campus. Appointments can usually be scheduled within a few days during the time you are on campus. All services are available for students taking one or more classes.

Health insurance is not necessary for any UHCS services but is highly recommended to cover other health needs. A reasonably priced student health insurance policy for individuals or families is available for purchase.
