A UW-Whitewater degree is made up of three different components:

  2. Degree Requirements
  3. Major and Minor Requirements


Proficiency and General Education Requirements

General Education provides every student with skills and knowledge you will need to be successful in your academic program. General education requirements vary depending on how many credits you are transferring.

  • New freshmen and students transferring fewer than 21 credits can view their requirements here.
  • Students transferring 21 or more credits can view their requirements here.
  • Students with an approved Associate Degree will have all Proficiency and General Education requirements waived, and can view more information here.
