How many credits do I need to take at UW-Whitewater to earn a degree?
In short, to earn a Bachelor's degree from UW-Whitewater, students must successfully complete the following minimum requirements:
- 120 units (also called credits) to complete a Bachelor's Degree.
- 30 units of UW-Whitewater coursework.
- 15 of the last 30 units prior to graduation must be completed at UW-Whitewater.
- 25% of your major and 25% of your minor course units at UW-Whitewater.
- UW-Whitewater cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (C).
- Combined GPA of 2.0 in your major and minor.
Please take note that some majors or minors may require higher than a 2.0 combined GPA. You are eligible to transfer up to 90 units from another institution, but no more than 72 of those may be from a 2-year college.
