Matt Goodwin, a PR Major who is set to graduate this May, has been named the College Male Athlete of the Year for 2008 by Inside Wisconsin Sports Magazine. Goodwin earned the honor for his play during the 2007-2008 season, leading the Warhawks to the championship of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the WIAC's postseason tournament title, helping the team earn a berth in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III championship tournament.
In 2007-2008 Goodwin, a unanimous First Team All-WIAC pick, was chosen as the WIAC Player of the Year. He was a National Association of Basketball Coaches Association Division III First Team All-West Region pick and NABC First Team All-American.
Matt was also on the Dean’s list for the Fall 08 semester.
