Scott and Margo Trentadue

Scott and Margo Trentadue met in the Costume Shop of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater when it was in the Hamilton Building.  Scott was an actor and a director while pursuing his degree in Speech and Journalism.  Margo was a Speech and English double major and worked in the Costume Shop.

Scott graduated in 1971 and pursued a successful career in managing radio stations in Wisconsin.  Margo graduated in 1972 and began teaching, but discovered insurance was her interest.  After 25 years in sales, marketing and management positions, she retired to raise the Trentadues’ two children, Ross and Libby.

Memories of Whitewater’s Theatre Department include Fannie Hicklin, Fred Sederholm, Lorraine Gross and Gene Wilson, along with many friends.  Because of summer tent, cokes at Fred’s and the closeness of the troupe, Gene Wilson’s suggestion to start a scholarship “so Whitewater could compete” became a goal for both Scott and Margo.  After 30 years, the scholarship continues – as does their endorsement of UW-Whitewater.  The Scott and Margo Trentadue Scholarship supports a theatre major who shows excellent academic and outstanding performance and/or service.
