Scholarships

Edwin C. Meltzer Art Scholarship
Description: This scholarship was established by the estate of Edwin Charles Meltzer, in which Salvatore J. Dimiceli, Sr. is the trustee. Edwin, a longtime resident of the Lake Geneva area, was an accomplished artist creating over 1,000 individual paintings. His work featured his vivacity and endless creativity; his scholarship will inspire and support the best and brightest within the Department of Art and Design at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Estimated Amount: 6 scholarships $5,000 each

Amy E Arntson Scholarship
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors and supports students with a broad area of interest and demonstrated ability in the field of art and design. The ideal candidate combines a commitment to Graphic Design and/or Media Arts and Game Development with a strong interest in a traditional fine arts studio area. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 400.00

Beth Blumberg Scholarship
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors who are either current or continuing Freshman. The scholarship is to encourage students at the beginning of their academic careers and in the early stage of their development as artists. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 100.00 

Edna Grinstead
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors. It is intended to support and encourage students with both artistic talent and commitment to successful academic performance. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 1000.00

Excellence in Printmaking
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors. Preference is given to students with a demonstrated expertise in the printmaking. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 100.00 

Fishman Flanagan Book Arts
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors. Preference is given to students with a demonstrated expertise in the book arts. Well-qualified students in related media will also be considered for the scholarship. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 100.00 

Flanagan/McNeill/Bondzinski Family Scholarship
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors. Preference is given to students who have a military background, or come from military families where the spouse, child, or mother and/or father have served in any branch of military. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 500.00 

Mary Weiser Art Scholarship
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors. It recognizes and awards academic excellence in creative art forms or art history. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 100.00 

Raymond E & Zenobia R Light Memorial
Description: The selection of the recipient of this scholarship will be based upon the quality of demonstrated performance or achievement as an arts major.  Contact department for discipline specific submission requirements. Estimated Amount: 1000.00 

Roberta Avonn Fiskum
Description: This scholarship is available to Art and Design majors who are either BA or BFA with Graphic Design emphasis. Students must demonstrate excellence in the field of Graphic Design through their portfolio. One or multiple scholarships may be awarded in an academic year. The Scholarship amount indicated is an estimate and may fluctuate every year. Estimated Amount: 1000.00
