Adrienne Foster received a BFA from Kansas State University in 2007, where she studied visual communication and studio art with an emphasis in painting. She later received an MFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2011, where she studied installation and conceptual art with additional focus on art history, theory, and criticism. After graduating, Adrienne extended her graduate research at SIUC by a year to concentrate on the history, theory, and production of media arts and new media, with special interest in information and communication technologies and networks, human-computer interaction, interface and interaction design.

Adrienne's main areas of research are in designing interaction and interface for software and mobile apps and in creating experimental new media art. Currently, she is working on a software development team to develop a product for academic advising and degree planning, while her experimental work is focused on a series of "landscape drawings" that are generated using JavaScript to randomize hand-drawn marks within a web browser.

Adrienne teaches courses in Graphic Design and in Media Arts & Game Development. She has exhibited traditional, installation, and new media work in several juried and invitational shows in Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, and New York.
