Julia C. Ince earned a PhD in Art History with a minor in American History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998.  During the 1990's she taught art history at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Marquette University.  In 2000 she began teaching at the academic staff level at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  Her recent research focusses on eighteenth and nineteenth century American domestic architecture.  In addition to her work as an art historian, Julia is a fine artist specializing in oil painting and portraiture.
