Glenn C. Hayes is the Director of Bands at the University of Wisconsin -Whitewater. Under his guidance, the UW-W band program has received regional and national acclaim for excellence in performance both in the concert hall and on the marching field. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble has performed by invitation at conventions of the College Band Directors National Conference and the Music Educators National Conference, and has been critically acclaimed by prominent composers and guest conductors. Through numerous presentations, Dr. Hayes has acquired a national leadership role in the area of band literature and integrative teaching. In 1996, he gave a clinic at the prestigious Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic to over 500 conductors from around the world. He founded the B-Lit (Band Literature and Integrative Teaching) web site which serves as a resource for ideas and lesson plans on integrative teaching for band directors. Dr. Hayes was recently appointed to the Wisconsin Comprehensive Musicianship through Performance Committee.
