Francine Pease and John Heyer

2008 Honorary Co-Chairs

Francine Pease, has helped countless individuals through her work as a speech/language pathologist in public and private schools, nursing homes and rehabilitation clinics. She has also been involved with the University in a number of ways, including support for the Young Auditorium and Theatre/Dance Departments. The Performing Arts have always been an interest for Francine, beginning with performing in Christmas plays in a one- room schoolhouse continuing to this day with her presence at UW-Whitewater performances.

During his decade as dean, John Heyer supported the College of Arts and Communication with his time, talents and financial gifts. His commitment to the arts through both professional and volunteer activities is wide ranging, including service on the boards of several symphonies and arts organizations across the country. In addition, John has published several books and has received national awards for his work as a musicologist. As dean of the College he provided leadership and vision, and as interim Provost his commitment to high-quality education at UW–Whitewater continues.
