Degree Programs

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Department of Music offers two undergraduate degrees in music:

Students pursuing either degree must audition and be accepted by the music department as either a singer or instrumentalist (brass, woodwind, percussion, string or keyboard instrument.)

If you are uncertain about which degree program would be right for you and would like to talk to an advisor, please contact the music department at 800-621-8744.

The Music Minor is a 23 credit program for those interested in pursuing additional study in music along with a major in another area. The curriculum for the minor is described in the UW Undergraduate Catalog, or click here for a useful outline. If you are interested in applied study (private lessons) as part of a music minor, check out our information and guidelines.
