The Chamber Orchestra is a select group based on models set in the eighteenth and nineteenth century that performs works from the Baroque through the present day. Great emphasis is placed on musical performance and pedagogy skill development in an intimate setting of a smaller chamber orchestra.
Participation in the Chamber Orchestra is open to the UWW student body by audition and requires concurrent participation in the Symphony Orchestra for Music Majors. The Chamber Orchestra performs 2-3 concerts per semester with recent programs including chamber repertoire works of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Britten and Bloch. The Chamber Orchestra also participates with the UW-Symphony's annual concerto competition that highlights the amazing solo talent from among the UW-Whitewater music majors.
The weekly rehearsal schedule for Chamber Orchestra is on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6pm.
