BassFest
On Saturday, February 2, 2008, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater will host its fifth annual BassFest. This event is a fun and exiting way to learn more about the bass. Bassists and bass enthusiasts of all ages are welcome from beginners through collegiate level. BassFest 2008 will feature technique classes of varying ability levels, classical masterclasses, and discussions/classes on varying aspects of double bass playing. The day will culminate with a recital featuring a Double Bass Ensemble made up of the days participants and teachers.
JUNE 21-26, 2009. The UW-Whitewater Strings Camp is dedicated to providing high school and junior high musicians in grades 7-12 with the opportunity to have an excellent week-long, concentrated music experience. The program is designed to challenge students, at their personal level, with performance opportunities. A balanced program of musical instruction and supervised recreational activities creates an atmosphere conducive to total learning, fun, and individual growth.
