Visiting Artists/Speaker Program

This program assists the faculty and staff in bringing in artists, scholars, speakers and others who through speeches, performances, exhibits, and demonstrations enrich the learning experience of our students and enhance the understanding of our disciplines within the community.

Faculty, staff and student organizations (through their advisors) are encouraged to apply for matching funds from the College’s Visiting Artist/Speaker Program.

Applications must be made by a member of the College of Arts and Communication faculty or staff. Applicants are encouraged to collaborate with faculty/staff from other departments, colleges and University programs.

Priority is given to applications that involve large numbers of the College’s students and faculty, and activities involving students and faculty from more than one department or discipline.

All proposals must include matching funds that achieve a ratio of 3:1. That is the proposed project must include one dollar of funding from other sources for every three dollars of funding sought from the Visiting Artist/Speaker Program.
