Contemporary dance distinguishes itself by relying on the dancers' and choreographers' talent and vision to create its art, pushing aside the structure of classic ballet in favor of creativity and exploration. DanceScapes '12 combines various forms of dance ultimately creating an explosive evening of vibrant entertainment. Under the artistic direction of faculty member Barbara Grubel, choreographers blend music and movement, light and sound, costumes and characters, the structured and the abstract to delight the senses of all who attend.
