It's 1858, and the Booth Acting Company has just arrived in Boston for an extended engagement. Hours before curtain, the leading lady falls ill, and the only possible replacement is Mary Devlin, Edwin's unresolved true love. Will Edwin be able to win back Mary and keep his pride intact, or will she accept a proposal from another man?
