by Lillian Groag
Directed by Angela Iannone
In turn of the century Paris, there isn't anyone more in-famous, beautiful and admired than French actress Sarah Bernhardt-except maybe Italian stage star and scandal queen Eleonora Duse. When a strange accident brings Duse and her acting troupe to Sarah's theatre, it is discovered they are both planning on playing the same role, in the same play, on the same set on the same night! Throw in two handsome and dashing leading men trying to out-do each other, an angry ingenue, the elegant playwright Alexandre Dumas, a menagerie of wild animals, two escaped snakes, an intense Russian anarchist with a bomb and an appearance by Cyrano De Bergerac and you have a hilarious, sexy, fast-paced comedy about love, life, paparazzi, the nature of art and the cult of celebrity.
