Rose Ensemble - And Glory Shone All Around
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 • 7:30 pm
General Public - $22
And Glory Shone All Around features The Rose Ensemble in a joyful program that is a musical evolution across time as the singers and instrumentalists journey through the dancehalls of Boston, to Shaker villages and the hills of Appalachia, exploring the harmonies that gave birth to bluegrass. Founded in 1996 by Artistic Director Jordan Sramek, the ensemble celebrates 15 years of reawakening the ancient with vocal music that stirs the emotions, challenges the mind and lifts the spirit. The vocalists are the soul of the group, with clear, young-sounding voices that seem infinitely flexible and perfectly blended. - The Pioneer Press
