Is your organization thinking about developing an internship opportunity? Does your organization have an internship position to advertise to UW-Whitewater students? There are a few ways to connect to potential student interns:
- Career Services' NEW Hawk Internship Program (HIP) serves as a repository for internship opportunities with employers in Walworth, Jefferson, and Rock counties. The program centralizes information on local internship opportunities, making them more accessible to UW-Whitewater students.
- HawkQuest is UW-Whitewater's online internship/job posting database where internship positions can be advertised to students.
- Academic departments work with students in a variety of ways to help them identify internship opportunities. Information about an internship position can be relayed to relevant faculty internship coordinators and to relevant student populations.
- Student organizations, especially profession-related organizations, may enable employers to connect directly to students interested in a specific career field.
If you are interested in promoting an internship opportunity to UW-Whitewater students, contact Laura Morrow, Career Services Internship Coordinator, at 472-1606 or MorrowL@uww.edu. In addition, please see the following information and resources.
