Career Services On-Campus Interview Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY
1. On line cancellations are permitted up until two business days prior to the interview.
2. Should an unforeseen circumstance occur one or two business days prior to the interview, and you are unable to follow through with your interview appointment, contact Career Services immediately.
3. Should an unforeseen circumstance arrive on the day of your scheduled interview, proceed as follows:
o Phone Career Services immediately: 262.472.1471
o Forward a letter of apology to the recruiter with whom you were scheduled to interview, within 48 hours of the date of the missed interview.
o Forward a copy of the letter to the Director of Career Services, within 48 hours of date of missed interview.
o If the letter of apology is not forwarded to the recruiter and Career Services within the timeframe outlined above, you will need to schedule a meeting with the Director of Career Services to discuss the circumstances of not forwarding the letter in a timely fashion. Until the meeting is scheduled, participation in the on-campus recruiting program will not be allowed.
NO-SHOW POLICY
1. Should you miss an interview without canceling the interview ahead of time, your interview privileges will be revoked until further review.
2. You will be contacted to schedule a meeting with the Director of Career Services to discuss circumstances of the missed interview and whether interview privileges will continue to be granted. Until this meeting occurs, participation in the on-campus recruiting program will not be allowed.
3. You will be dropped from any future interview schedules for which you have signed up until you have cleared your situation with the Director. At that time, the Director will decide whether or not to reinstate your interview privileges.
Observance of this policy will ensure that UW-Whitewater maintains a good reputation in the working community and that your applications to recruiters visiting campus remain in good standing.
