Social Work

Social Work is an accredited BSW professional training program with the State of Wisconsin certification/licensure required to work as a social worker. Without this degree, extensive additional class and fieldwork is required to become state certified. Through direct counseling, referral to other services, or advocacy, social workers help individuals, families, groups, and communities cope with their problems and effectively use their strengths. The primary objective of the social work major is to prepare students for generalist professional social work practice.
