UW-Whitewater Bowling Day Clinic

Our Warhawk Bowling Day Camp will help campers develop the fundamental skills necessary to make them a better bowler. We encourage and welcome bowlers of all skill levels to attend this camp and improve their bowling game by an average of 10 or more pins. This clinic is available to players entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2018.

Registrations accepted online until noon on 8/1/18.  We do accept walk up registrations at event check-in, if space is available.

Registration Fee: $95

The fee covers lunch, instructional materials, a event t-shirt (if registered by 7/10/18) and insurance. 


Early cancellations will receive a full refund minus 6% cancellation fee if the cancellation is requested 7 days prior to the camp. NO REFUNDS will be given for no shows or participants sent home for disciplinary reasons.  All cancellation requests must be submitted to cesevents@uww.edu; provide registrant's name and event session. Refunds will be returned to name and address of payer.

Pre-event information will be available on this website three weeks prior to the start of clinic. Pre-event information includes check-in and out times with locations, daily schedule, what to bring and other important information you will need to know before attending this clinic.

Summer Camp Rules

UW-Whitewater will hold all campers responsible for their conduct. Serious misconduct or disruption will lead to immediate dismissal from event. Registrants dismissed from the event will not receive a refund. Review Summer Camp Rules for more details.

Parking permits are required to park on campus. You may park for free at the location and time of check-in and check-out. All other locations and times you will need to have a parking permit to avoid a ticket. Participants driving themselves and keeping their car on campus must pick up a parking permit from director at the initial event meeting.

Be aware that we advise you to leave all non-essential, portable electronic devices at home (iPod, iTouch, cell phones, etc), but ultimately it is your decision. We will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items and we do not have open Wi-Fi for electronic devices.

Warhawk Alley in the University Center is equipped with a ten-lane bowling alley.

Focus of Instruction

Campers will learn more about their physical game including:

  • 4 and 5 step approach
  • Proper follow through (Arm swing - Release - Hand positioning - Timing)
  • Lane play (How to read the lanes, knowing when to make a move and playing a sport shot correctly)
  • Spare shooting
  • Strike shot
  • Pre-shot rituals
  • Equipment and team building activities 

Camp Staff


Leann Sullivan

Leann (Eimermann) Sullivan enters her seventh season as head bowling coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2017-18.

A two-time National Tenpin Coaches Association Division II/III Coach of the Year, Sullivan has led the Warhawks to a pair of third place finishes at the NCAA Championships, which includes all divisions of competition. UW-Whitewater has earned three bids to the national tournament in the last four years.

Under Sullivan's leadership, the Warhawks finished the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons ranked sixth in the final NTCA Top 20 national poll. UW-Whitewater was ranked No. 1 in the Division II/III poll in 2014-15.

The Warhawks earned their first-ever berth in the NCAA Championships in 2013, placing seventh.


Each camper will be covered by a limited accident insurance policy. The insurance includes primary coverage up to $7,500 and $300 maximum dental insurance. Insurance does not cover pre-existing injuries and is for accidents only. The cost of insurance is included in the registration fee.
