Summer Piano Camp
July 13 - 18, 2014
For over 20 years, UW-Whitewater Piano Camp has offered a week long focus on solo and duet piano. The Summer Piano Camp will include exciting opportunities for collaborative performance with flute campers. In addition to exploration and performance of solo piano works and piano duets, pianists attending the camp will have collaborative experience with flute literature, carefully chosen to meet ability level. Coaching with piano and flute, as well as performance in seminars and recitals are all available. Students will have opportunity to to take daily music theory classes.
Resident Camper: $470
Includes room and board
Commuter Camper: $370
Includes lunch and dinner
Camp cost for commuters and residents includes instruction, insurance coverage, and instructional materials. There will be a banquet, recitals, and activities such as tennis, swimming and jogging.
Who Should Come
Middle school and high school students (including graduating seniors) may apply. Applications for the UW-Whitewater Piano Camp will be processed in the order received. Please return the application form and accompanying materials as soon as possible.

Housing & Facilities
Piano Camp students will be housed in a University residence hall. Each room has two single beds. Camp staff will assign rooms based on age and gender. Residence hall designation and a map will be mailed to registered campers 2-3 weeks before the start of camp.
Meals will be served in a University dining center. There will be a welcoming picnic on Sunday evening and a final banquet on Thursday evening.
The Summer Piano Camp does not offer scholarships. Students often receive scholarships from such local sources as musicparent and piano-teachers’ organizations. Ask your teacher about scholarship opportunities in your area.
All accepted students will receive a confirmation letter and detailed information on the camp program two to three weeks prior to the start of camp. Students can be dismissed from the camp for serious misconduct without any refund.
Each camper will be covered by a limited accident insurance policy. The insurance includes primary coverage up to $7,500 and $300 maximum dental insurance. Insurance does not cover pre-existing injuries and is for accidents only. The cost of insurance is included in the registration fee.
