Leanne League teaches violin and viola at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In 2010, Leanne was named the 2010 Teacher of the Year Award by the Wisconsin chapter of the American String Teachers Association. She has given master classes and clinics throughout the Midwest, at both high schools and universities. Sought after as a performer in many different roles, Leanne is the associate concertmaster of the Madison Symphony, the assistant concertmaster of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and a member of the UW-Whitewater String Tri. From 1996-1999, Leanne was a fellow at the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida under Michael Tilson Thomas. Leanne completed her undergraduate degree at Florida State University, studying violin and baroque violin with Karen Clarke. She earned her masterʼs degree at UW-Madison, where she studied with Vartan Manoogian.
