Using Social Medial

Connecting with Community

This session will focus on the benefits to be involved on and off campus. Discussion will center on the benefits of giving to the community, opportunities to engage within and off campus and the long term benefits for YOU!

Health and Wellness: What’s Hot and What’s Not

Description: It seems like health trends are always changing. Sometimes, what’s healthy one minute is useless, or even dangerous, the next. At this interactive session we’ll explore new ways to help you be your healthiest, happiest self! Topics include nutrition, exercise, sleep and much more.

Professional and Practical Safety for Work and Home

Description: Most people don’t think about safety until it’s too late. Get the upper hand by familiarizing yourself with resources available at UW-Whitewater. Learn about Hazard Communication, Workers Compensation, Ergonomics, Training Opportunities, Seasonal Safety and Emergency Response Protocol.

Embracing Change (On Purpose)

Description: Since the beginning of time, human beings have been reluctant to change. When change happens ‘to us’, we resist. When change happens ‘with us’, we still seem to resist. This interactive presentation explores the concept of change and how to more easily embrace it.

Final Session:

UPS and Its Effect on Shared Governance

Description: This session will discuss changes the University Personnel System (UPS) will bring to campus, how it will affect the issues subject to shared governance, and what that means for classified staff input in the decision-making process.
